It's been a while...
SO...
Hello everyone, it's uh... Been a while since the last devlog. Specifically 50 da- 50 DAYS?? Oops...
WHAT HAPPENED?
So it's been 50 days since the last post here, 55 days since the last video on my YouTube and around 34 days since the jam this game was meant for ended... To put it bluntly, the longer I spent working on the project, the less motivated I was to continue it. I don't think I initially over-scoped the project, but I didn't realize how much perseverance I needed to actually finish a jam game for a jam that lasted a whole month. It's not all bad news though!
WHAT'S NEXT?
I find that a majority of my projects turn out better when I enjoy working on them, it's not that I dislike working on this game now, I just felt burnt out after 2 weeks of exclusively working on it. I'm going to continue working on this on my own time and when I feel like it. On one hand this'll lead to a better final product, but on the other hand there's no release date and I'm unable to even give an estimate. Regarding these devlogs, they'll become less frequent, along with the YouTube videos, but that's because I want to have something interesting to show for each one. Speaking of which...
TEASER TRAILER
I felt bad about leaving everyone in the dark for so long. So I decided to create a short video to show off the new graphics. They aren't great, but I've got time to improve upon them even more now! Anyways, here's the teaser.
IN CONCLUSION...
.357 is getting delayed indefinitely, but it's far from dead. I definitely want to finish it and I don't see that changing, but you might not hear much news about it unless it's significant.
Incase you haven't seen my other devlogs I recommend you check them out. This one mostly just shows off the visuals, if you're interested in gameplay the other devlogs cover that extensively.
That's about it for this devlog, I'm excited to continue working on this and I'll keep you informed whenever there's something interesting to share. See you in the next one.
.357
Very unfinished! Might stay unfinished! Hopefully not!

I've had a lot of fun watching your progress on this game. Take as much time as you need to finish this! It's been going great so far and this really shows how well you've been improving as a game dev. I can't wait for the next devlog. :>
